Often throughout the year, our Central Texas Basket Guild members participate in community service projects and events in an effort to to stimulate interest in and promote the art of basket weaving.  Here are some exanples of projects.

One of our Central Texas Basket Guild members demonstrates some of the weaving techniques of basketry to library partons at several different Austin area public libraries, including Winterfest (Summer & Fall 2011).

As part of our annual Community Service project, each year the Central Texas Basket Guild members weave baskets. Then the baskets are filled with personal toiletries or cleaning supplies for the Safe Place patrons' graduation ceremony.
